At halftime of the Salem Lions – West Washington Senators High School Football game, two of WSLM’s sports broadcasters were honored for their service to the community.

Larry Jones and Gary Chastain broadcast their last regular season game on WSLM 1220 AM.

Jones has been a sportscaster for WSLM 1220 AM for the past 12 years and Chastain has participated for 10 years.

The Senators’ first football coach, Art Sanders help present plaques to the pair of former Senator players as well as replica jerseys with their old numbers. Jones as number 17 and Chastain was number 33.

Becky White, President and owner of Salem Media LLC, presented the pair with plaques in honor of their service.
