Today is National Wear Red Day.  It‘s part of the American Heart Association‘s campaign to raise awareness about the impact of heart disease on women.

AHA Midwest Affiliate Spokesperson Julie Petr (Petter)of Indianapolis says heart disease is the number one killer of American women.

She says it kills more women than the next six causes of death combined.

Petr says wearing red is a simple way to raise awareness and money for research.
