Ever thought “if I could predict the weather, I’d be rich”? For the first time in the team history, the Indianapolis Colts are giving their fans the chance to do just that as a part of the Half a Million Dollar Weather Challenge. Through this promotion, fans can visit www.colts.com/weather to submit their gameday weather predictions at each of the team’s 2014 home and away games, and guess whether the roof of Lucas Oil Stadium will be open or closed for each home game, for a chance to win $500,000. Entries will be accepted online beginning today at 5 a.m. ET through 12 p.m. ET on Thursday, August 7, 2014.
As the 2014 season draws near, the Half a Million Dollar Weather Challenge has been created to build excitement around the team’s schedule and to give fans an opportunity to participate in a fun, and potentially very rewarding, promotion. For the Challenge, fans must guess the outdoor temperature at kickoff of all the Colts 2014 home and away games, as well as whether the roof of Lucas Oil Stadium will be open or closed for each 2014 home game. Any fan who correctly predicts all kickoff temperatures and roof positions will be eligible to win $500,000 cash. For a complete list of contest rules and guidelines, visit www.colts.com/weather.
“The weather is a common topic of conversation for both casual and avid NFL fans around the country as each gameday draws near,” said Stephanie Pemberton, Colts Sr. Director of Marketing. “We designed the Half a Million Dollar Weather Challenge to generate even more excitement around this often-discussed topic and allow fans to give their best weather predictions for the season.”
