Louisville is the home of the Kentucky Derby and the University of Louisville Cardinals, and this fall it will be the home of America’s fastest growing sport when the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) stops at the KFC Yum! Center on Oct. 9-10, for the BlueDEF Velocity Tour Finals.
Tickets go on sale June 5 for the first ever BlueDEF Velocity Tour (BDVT) Finals event will make Louisville a global destination for the stars of the PBR. On Friday and Saturday nights fans will see more than two hours of high-flying thrills and heart-stopping spills as the talented stars of the PBR hang on tight to their bovine counterparts who can weigh more than 10 times their weight in solid muscle, some topping 2000 pounds. It takes just 8 seconds to be great at the PBR and the BDVT Finals is on that road to greatness.
The bull rider who earns the most world points throughout the PBR’s 2015 season will become the PBR World Champion and win a $1 million bonus. The BlueDEF Velocity Tour Finals is the penultimate step to achieving that title, therefore all of this season’s greatest PBR stars will gather in Louisville for the final qualifying battle.
