Ronald G Magill, 76, English, IN passed away Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Floyd Memorial hospital in New Albany, IN. He was born in Paoli, IN on March 20, 1940 to William Palmer and Evelyn Patton Magill. He was married to Linda Kay Milligan on December 18, 1960.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents and son Indiana State police master trooper Rick Magill.
 He was an avid outdoorsmen enjoying hunting especially wild turkey and fishing, gardening, and a wonderful woodworker. An avid IU fan, he also enjoyed being Santa clause for children and family members for several years in English. He was considered “Uncle Ronnie” by many and was liked and admired by all as a loyal friend.
He was a retired first sergeant operational district eight Indiana department of natural resources law enforcement division appointed August 1, 1963 and retired March 31, 2000.

Visitation will be held from 2-8 pm Monday and from 9 am until time of service on Tuesday at the Dillman-Scott Funeral Home with Funeral services to be held  1pm Tuesday at the Dillman-Scott Funeral Home, 226 West Campbell Street, Paoli, IN 47454.  Interment to follow at the Stampers Creek Cemetery, Paoli, IN.
