Crews to perform shoulder work and bridge approach repairs

Lane closures are expected to be in place through next week on I-65 SB at Lodge Creek in Clark County for shoulder and bridge approach repairs.

A temporary left lane closure of I-65 SB will begin Tuesday morning (Jan. 28) between 8 and 9 a.m. near MM 17.5, north of Memphis. Crews will complete shoulder strengthening work in preparation for bridge approach repairs and additional lane closures the following week. The closure is expected to be removed Wednesday afternoon (Jan. 29).

Bridge approach repairs are scheduled to begin the following Monday morning (Feb. 3) and will require a right lane closure of I-65 SB at Lodge Creek (near MM 17.5) through early Friday morning (Feb. 7). Crews will remove and replace the existing bridge approaches and complete pavement repairs during the closure.

Message and arrow boards will be in place to alert drivers of the lane closures.

Motorists should slow down, use extra caution and drive distraction-free through all work zones. Traffic queues are likely at this location. Drivers are encouraged to seek an alternate route or allow extra time when traveling through the area. All work is weather dependent.
