Todd A. Spurling, 57, of Mitchell, passed peacefully at 11:12 AM on Sunday, January 26, 2020, at his residence after a short battle with cancer.
He was born March 9, 1962, in Shelbyville, IN, the son of Jerry Spurling and Marcia Pulido.
He married Evette (Cavaness) Spurling on May 31, 1980, and she survives.
He was an active member of the First Apostolic Church in Mitchell. He was a graduate of Waldron High School class of 1980. He worked for UPS for 30 years and after retirement, he worked at Superior Small Engines in Mitchell. He enjoyed going to truck shows and restoring late model Chevy trucks.
He is survived by his wife of Mitchell; father, Steve McCracken (Pam) of Mooresville; mother, Marcia Pulido of Bedford, grandmother, Lois Snyder of Shelbyville; two sons, Jeremy Spurling (Priscilla) of Bedford and Zach Spurling (Rachel) of Orleans; three grandsons, Westin, Peyton, and Drake; Two Sisters, Kimberly (Scott) Sawyer of Shelbyville and Tammy Long of Indianapolis and one brother, Anthony Pulido of Shelbyville.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry; grandfather, Maurice “Boots” Snyder and two granddaughters in infancy, Reagan Elizabeth and Emmelyn Grace.
A Going Home Service will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 1, 2020, at First Apostolic Church in Mitchell with Pastor Robert Burton officiating and Elder Terry Meade assisting. Burial will follow in Mitchell Cemetery.
Friends are invited to visitation at the church on Friday from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Saturday from 12:00 PM until service time.
