“Wes” was born in Borden and lived all of his life in southern Indiana. He was an inventor and engineer at heart, designing and building all kinds of tools and machinery over the years.
He enjoyed working on anything mechanical, and owned and operated a small engine shop during the 1970’s.
Wes was also a talented cabinetmaker and was employed by both Hass and Starlight cabinet companies for many years. He later worked for Tecumseh (Peerless Gear) in Salem and retired in 2002.
Wes loved music – especially country and bluegrass. He was an avid racing fan and had a deep appreciation for nature and the outdoors. He enjoyed riding trails on his ATV and hunting for mushrooms.
Wes was a member of Monroe Church of Christ and his faith remained undaunted by illness. He was honest, hardworking, and devoted to his family; a man of quiet reflection and fortitude who was loved by many.
