Some big changes are in store for the Washington County Fair this year – a move to June.
This year, the fair is scheduled for June 23 through June 30.
The fair parade, which officially launches the event, is set for 3 p.m. Sunday, June 23.
This means the deadlines for 4-H members and their projects have moved up to March 1 as the 4-H enrollment deadline.
According the fair board, the date was moved because of a rumor of local schools going to a balanced calendar in which students could start back to school as early as July 29.
