A disaster is coming!
When you hear emergency personnel toned out on the local police radio system Monday morning and hear sirens making their way to the Washington County Fairgrounds – don’t panic! It’s just a drill.
The Washington County Emergency Management and Local Emergency Planning Committee will be doing a full-scale mock emergency disaster drill at the Washington County Fairgrounds on Monday, Oct. 21 at approximately 9 a.m.
According to Fire Chief Tom Day, the exercise will include fire, police, EMS, EMA, and the local hospital.
It will be a toned out response, but will only be for practice.
