A late night crash with a semi truck claimed the life of a 20-year-old Louisville man.
Pronounced dead at the scene was Joshua M. Trego, 20, of Louisville.
According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Department, the fatal crash happened at approximately 9:52 p.m.on State Road 135 South of Salem, south of Dutch Creek Road.
Trego, was driving a 2000 Chevy Blazer south on State Road 135.
Trego’s vehicle crossed the center line in the path of a 2000 Peterbilt Semi driven by Jonoathan H. Dean, 59, of Salem.
Dean was treated by EMS at the scene and released.
Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy Brad Naugle was the investigating officer with assistance from Sheriff Claude Combs, Chief Deputy Roger Newlon, Deputy Joe Keltner and Indiana State Trooper Tucker.
The Washington County Coroner’s office, Washington County EMS and the Jackson Township Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
