Late Thursday night, troopers from the Indiana State Police Post at Sellersburg were patrolling in Austin when they came in contact with a male subject walking on Rural Street near Second Street.
As troopers began talking to the male subject identified as Paul W. Turner, 48, from Dehart Drive in Austin, they discovered he was in possession of several pills determined to be controlled substances.
He was also in possession of Marijuana and a Hypodermic needle.
Paul Turner was placed under arrest on the charges of Dealing a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, Possession of a Hypodermic Needle and Possession of Marijuana.
He was incarcerated at the Scott County Jail awaiting his first court appearance.
