A Hardinsburg woman and a man from Orleans were killed early this morning in a head on crash in Washington County.
Dead are Tami J. Durbin, 26, 539 East Swann Street, Hardinsburg, and Terry Collins, 63, 5718 East County Road 250 North, Orleans.
This morning at approximately 9:14 am, the Washington County Sheriff’s Department responded to a two vehicle head-on crash on Hardinsburg-Livonia Road, North of the intersection of West Knight Road.
The preliminary Investigation revealed that a red 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt driven by Durbin was traveling northbound and as it topped a hillcrest it traveled into the southbound lanes striking a black 2014 Jeep Compass driven by Collins.
The driver’s of both vehicles involved in the crash received fatal injuries as a result of the collision.
Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts and there was airbag deployment.
Notification has been made to both next of kins regarding this incident.
