A Scottsburg man was arrested after Indiana State Police made a traffic stop on Thursday evening.
ISP Trooper Shannon Burton stopped Kurt G. Heath, 20, from Scottsburg, driving a 2000 Honda Civic.
The traffic stop was made on Pine Street in Scottsburg for an expired license plate. During the traffic stop Kurt G. Heath was found to be in possession of Hydrocodone, a Schedule III Controlled Substance, Marijuana and Paraphernalia. Kurt G. Heath was taken into custody and incarcerated at the Scott County Jail awaiting his first court appearance.
He was charged with; Possession of a Controlled Substance, Class D Felony; Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Class D Felony; Possession of Marijuana, Class A Misdemeanor and Possession of Paraphernalia, Class A Misdemeanor.
