Hosted by the Indianapolis Colts and head coach Chuck Pagano, the Chuckstrong Tailgate Gala will bring together nearly 500 people in their tailgate attire to help raise awareness and funds for cancer research at the Indiana University Melvin and Bren Simon Cancer Center. Funds raised will be used to support cancer research projects and accelerate the translation of laboratory discoveries to the bedside of patients in Indiana and beyond.

· Last year, the tailgate gala raised $1.1 million through corporate sponsorships, live and silent auctions, and a challenge issued by Coach Pagano in which he and his wife, Tina, contributed a matching gift of $50,000. The total raised also included $454,600 from the sales of Chuckstrong T-shirts and wrist bands and other donations. In all, 18,603 T-shirts and 22,038 wrist bands were purchased by fans who quickly supported the fund-raising campaign initiated by the Indianapolis Colts after Coach Pagano was diagnosed with acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL).
