A string of thefts in Washington and Clark County are solved after officers have arrested a 38-year-old Pekin man.
At approximately 1:28a on Thursday, Washington County Sheriff’s Department served a search warrant in Pekin and arrested Jason D. Pixley, 2737 Hickory Grove Road, Pekin.
Pixley is charged with the July 24th armed robbery of J&R Liquor in Pekin and the July 29th armed robbery of Morgan’s Market in Canton.
Each charge includes one count of conspiracy to commit armed robbery with a deadly weapon, one county of armed robbery with a deadly weapon.
Pixley was additionally charged with one count of intimidation with a deadly weapon for the Morgan’s Market incident.
According to Washington County Chief Deputy Sheriff Roger Newlon, Pixley is a suspect of the armed robbery of the Subway restaurant in Borden.
Officer Brad Naugle and Detective Brent Miller spent Thursday following leads which lead to Pixley’s arrest.
One additional arrest is expected to follow.
Pixley was jailed at the Washington County Detention Center with no bond set.
Assisting officers included Newlon, Pekin Marshall Jeff Thomas, the Indiana State Police, Borden Town Marshall and Indiana Conservation Officers as well as the Salem Police Department.
