Due to inclement weather in Friday’s forecast and to ensure the safety of their fans, the Indianapolis Colts have announced that their second annual Kickoff Concert, featuring Blues Traveler, has been moved to Lucas Oil Stadium. The event, originally scheduled to take place on Georgia Street, is scheduled for 6-10 p.m. this Friday, September 5, and is free and open to the public. It is being held in conjunction with Downtown Indy and 1070/107.5 The Fan. Rock band The Easthills will open the show.
A limited amount of free parking will be available in the south lot at the stadium. Half price concessions will be available throughout the evening. Fans may enter the stadium through the north and south gates, beginning at 6 p.m.
The Colts will kick off the regular season in a primetime Sunday Night Football matchup versus the Denver Broncos this Sunday, September 7. Kickoff is at 8:30 p.m. on NBC. The team opens their regular season home schedule against the Philadelphia Eagles on September 15 in a Monday Night Football primetime matchup. Kickoff is at 8:30 p.m. A limited number of Colts single-game tickets are still available at the Lucas Oil Stadium ticket office, all Ticketmaster Ticket Centers, by phone at 1-800-745-3000, or online at www.ticketmaster.com.
