“We recently started a new radio show on WSLM called HOMEGROWN RADIO which features local and regional music from around South Central Indiana,” said Becky White, WSLM owner and general manager. HOMEGROWN RADIO LIVE

“This is a great way to feature some of these artists in front of the public and ties in with our new local and regional music show we’re starting on Monday, Sept. 15 at 6:30p”

The music will flow from 4-10p on the courthouse lawn. It is free and everyone is welcome to attend and bring a chair or blanket.

The first band to play will be Salem’s Short Notice Band, which was the Kentuckiana winner of the 2014 COUNTRY MUSIC SHOWDOWN.

Hoot Von Woot will follow at 5p.

“We’ll be taking a break and Abe Lincoln will be performing a wedding renewal ceremony. It’s non-binding but will be a lot of fun,” said White.

Matt Williams of Austin will perform at 6:30p and Rob Brennan will sing at 7:30p. At 8:30p, Country Bourne will be playing until the end of the evening.

Homegrown Radio features local and regional musicians of all genres – rock, pop, country, bluegrass, gospel, Christian, etc. and airs each Monday night at 6:30p.

George Napier and White will be the radio show hosts each week.

It will be aired on both WSLM 1220 AM and 97.9 FM and will be available afterwards in podcast form in various locations, including wslmradio.com
