According to City of Salem Director of Community Deveopment Greg Fitzloff, a future Kimball expansion could bring about 100 jobs to Salem.
Fitzloff said today that Mayor David Bower received a phone call this morning from Kimball CEO Robert Schneider letting him know that Kimball plans to make a significant investment of almost $9 million in salem.
“This project would add a significant number of new jobs at their Salem facility, ” Fitzloff said.
“This will be a new production line they will be moving from another facility. They were very pleased with the support they had received from the Mayor and City of Salem and wanted him to be 1st to get the good news.”
Fitzloff said there will be a press conference early next week with more details.
