The investigation into the charter bus crash on I-65 is continuing today as investigators comb through available data and witness statements. The charter bus was carrying 16 members of the Indiana Institute of Technology (Indiana Tech) men’s and women’s bowling team to Smyrna, Tennessee to compete in a United States Bowling Congress Sectional Competition when it overturned near Henryville, Indiana
The last of the students hospitalized at Scott Memorial Hospital was released at approximately 10:00am Friday. The Driver, the team coach’s wife, and one student remain Hospitalized at University of Louisville Hospital.
The driver of the bus has been identified as Rex Altenburg, 76, of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Jeannine Secrist, 68, Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Indiana Tech student Michaelia Kemp, 18, Fort Wayne, Indiana, are also hospitalized at U of L. All three are listed in Satisfactory or Fair condition.

Burnett, 21, Flint, MI; Quinisha Burnett, 19, Flint, MI; Mitchell M. McGee, 20, Fort Wayne, IN; Tyler Krepp, 19, Huntington, IN; Brandon J.
