Nancy I. Colglazier, 72, died Friday, Feb. 13, 2015, at her home in South Bend.
Born July 4, 1942, in Salem, she was the daughter of Howard and Irene White Parsley. She enjoyed reading her Bible and singing. She was a loving Christian wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and exuded love and compassion, opening her home to anyone in need. She was a wonderful cook with a great laugh. Patient and kind, she shall be sorely missed.
She grew up in and around Salem and, after her marriage, to Earl Colglazier on July 11, 1958, at Livonia Baptist Church, she moved to South Bend. Many will remember her and her husband for the concession stand and elephant ears they sold at the Washington County Fair every year.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband; children, Joseph (Mona) Colglazier, North Liberty, Joni (Craig) Nedderman and Jon (Kim) Colglazier, both of South Bend, and Jason (Tina) Colglazier, New Carlisle; brother, Kenneth (Jane) Parsley, Salem; sister-in-law Jane (Harry) Carlton, South Bend; 20 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Nancy sponsored a little girl through World Vision named Tapiwa, who lives in Malawi. Memorial contributions may be made to World Vision or to the Hospice House, 501 Comfort Place, Mishawaka, Ind., 46545.
A memorial service will be held May 17 at 2 p.m. at Livonia Baptist Church, where she attended as a child.
