Susie Durbin, age 49 of Salem, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 5:00 am, in her residence.
Born January 29, 1966 in National City, California, she was the daughter of Robert and Barbara (Ballew) Ambers.
She retired in 2013 from GKN Sinter Metals, was a lifetime member of Blue River Baptist Church and graduated in 1984 from West Washington High School.
She married November 16, 1985 to Barry Durbin, who survives.
Also surviving are: Son: Barry J. (Jenna) Durbin, Salem; Father: Robert Ambers, New Albany; Step Mother: Mona Ambers, Henderson, Kentucky; Brother: Gerald Ambers, Salem; 4 Sisters: Ruby Bowling and Cindy Ambers of Salem, Linda Bary, Scottsburg and JoAnn Polen, Fredericksburg; Father & Mother-in-law: James and Virginia Durbin, Salem and 3 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother, 1 brother and 1 sister.
Funeral Service: 11:00 am Wednesday at Dawalt Funeral Home with Rev. Shane Morgan officiating.
Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Tuesday and after 9 am Wednesday.
Interment at Crown Hill Cemetery.
