Barbara Horner, age 79 of Salem, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2015 at 5:05 pm, in her residence.
Born April 28, 1936 in Pelahatchie, Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late Claude Banks and Quinnie Mae (Sheeley) Jenkins. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Salem.
She married May 3, 1957 to Gerald “Jerry” W. Horner, who survives.
Also surviving are: Daughter: Lois Elaine (Eric) Lansford; Son: Gerald Wayne (Teresa) Horner Jr.; Brother: Bill R. Jenkins; 2 Sisters: Kaye Holmes and Eula Mae Nutt and Grandchildren, Mathew and Nicole Horner and Jessica Lansford. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers C.B., Thomas and Reid Jenkins and 2 sisters; Juanita Croom & Audrey Jenkins.
Funeral Service: 11:00 am Friday at Dawalt Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Steven Gorman officiating. Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Thursday and after 9 am Friday. Interment at Crown Hill Cemetery.
