On Sunday, deputies from the Washington County Sheriff’s Department arrested Joseph Dion Ater, Jr, 34, from 350 US Highway 50 in Fredericksburg.
The arrest came after Detective Scott Stewart from the Indiana State Police Post at Sellersburg was notified by the Washington County Sheriff’s Department in December of 2014 of a female being allegedly molested by Joseph D. Ater, Jr.
After completing the investigation Detective Stewart turned the case into the Washington County Prosecutor’s Office who sought and received an arrest warrant for Ater, Jr.
The arrest warrant was issued out of the Washington County Circuit Court for Child Molesting, Felony.
