Salem, IN – A running and walking group will be meeting at the Washington County Family YMCA with the goals of increasing health and aerobic conditioning for any community member interested.
Cecil Evans will be leading the running group on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7p.m. at the YMCA. This will be a free program offered to the public and will be able to meet a variety of personal goals for those involved. The workouts will be challenging,
yet achievable, and will be based on each individual’s level of fitness and their personal fitness goals. The group is for all levels of experience and fitness abilities.
Evans has been a distance runner for 7 years and has had experience with personal weight loss and competitive distance running from 1600m to 21km. In addition to being the winner of the YMCA’s Annual Rock’n’Run 5k for the past two years, Evans has a desire to share his passion for running by getting involved with the event.
