Joyce R. “Tucker” Keeling, age 75, passed away peacefully on Thursday September 3, 2015 at Lincoln Hills Health Care in New Albany.
She was born August 29, 1940 to Clarence and Gertrude “Carrol” Tucker in Sulphur, IN. who preceded her in death.
Also preceding her in death, one brother: Eldon Tucker and one sister: Naomi Brown.She met James M. Keeling, Sr. and they married 57 years ago on December 20,1958 at the Old Union Christian Church in Sulphur, IN.
Besides being a homemaker and mother, Joyce retired from Pillsbury in New Albany. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the Palmyra United Methodist.
Besides her husband Jim, Joyce is survived by one son: James Keeling, Jr. and Three daughters: Beverly Drummond, Fulsom, California; Joy “Lynn” Elliott and her husband David, New Albany; and Rose Blank, Palmyra. Three brothers: Clarence Tucker, Edward Tucker, and Gene Tucker. Eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday September 8, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Love Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday September 8, 2015 beginning at 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Per Joyce’s wishes cremation was chosen with burial in the Palmyra Cemetery.
