Frances Judy Higham, age 64 of Lake Station, Indiana passed away Sunday, March 6, 2016, in the Vibra Hospital at Crown Point, Indiana. Born June 15, 1951 in Pekin, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Arvel and Naomi Erlenia (Hayes) Short. She was a retired nurse aide, a member of the Bible Baptist Church and had been a resident of Lake Station for the past 22 years, formerly of Pekin. She married in June 1994 to Robert M. Higham, who survives. Also surviving are: 2 Daughters: Kim Briscoe, Pekin and Laura Sluder, Valparaiso; 3 Sisters: Barbara Dugger, Ft. Pierce, Florida, Mary Holobaugh, Port St. Lucie, Florida and Audry May, Trafalger, Indiana; 2 Brothers: Charles Sherman King and Frederick Short, Salem and 5 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial Service: 11:00 am Friday at Dawalt Funeral Home.
Visitation: 9 to 11 am Friday.
