Police responded to an active shooter reported at Cummins Seymour Engine Plant at 800 E. Third St. in Seymour around 8:40 Thursday morning.
According to reports, the shooting took place on the second floor of the building in a meeting room on the southwest corner.
Police secured the building and surrounding area.
Ambulances also were sent to the scene. It was later reported that there were two people injured.
Around 9 a.m., it was reported that two people were dead, one of whom was suspected to be the shooter.
