Katie Lou Medlock, age 75 of Bedford, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016 at 12:55 am, in IU Health Bedford Hospital. Born May 25, 1940 in Stamping Ground, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Ben and Gladys (Parrish) Shipley.
She was a retired home health care nurse and a 1959 graduate of the old Campbellsburg High School.
Survivors include: 3 Sons: Jerry Wayne (Murie) Medlock, Campbellsburg; Terry Eugene (Barbara) Medlock and Max William (Lisa) Medlock, Bedford; 3 Sisters: Loise Maxine Reister, Mitchell, Mary Catherine Shipley, Bedford and Linda Kay (Russell) Flick, West Baden Springs. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by the father of her children, Jerry F. Medlock.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday at Hop Cemetery in Campbellsburg.
Visitation from 4 to 8 pm Wednesday at Dawalt Funeral Home.
