More than 1300 customers of Jackson County REMC lost power this morning after a squirrel got into the Mt. Tabor Substation and did damage.
According to the Jackson County REMC office in Brownstown there are approx. 1,303 customers without power in the following areas:
Jefferson
Madison
Washington
Posey
Howard
Vernon
Power should be restored by 1p.
