Mr. Archie Smith age 94 of Salem passed away Tuesday, April 5 at Salem Crossing.
Mr. Smith was born July 25, 1921 in Knox County, Kentucky the son of Floyd Smith and Rose Gibson Smith Burnett. He was a retired coal miner.
On February 28, 1943, Archie married Cleo Smith and she preceded him in death on January 27, 2012. He was also preceded in death by three brothers and his parents.
He is survived by three sons: Eugene Smith (Diana) of Lebanon, Indiana, Calvin Smith of Louisville, Kentucky and Wendell Smith (Ruby) of Greenfield, Indiana, a daughter: Fran Robinson (Brice) of Salem, 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services and burial will be private.
