Police Searching For Scam Artist That Hit Salem Jewelry Store

Indiana State Police are looking for help in identifying a scam artist that took a Salem Jewelry store for several thousand dollars.

scam artist-thumb-250xauto-6484According to ISP Public Information Officer, on March 12 at approximately 11:30 am, an unknown white male went into LaGene Jewelers in Salem, IN, pretending to be looking for a ring.

After looking over the inventory of the store he decided to buy a “White Gold Engagement Ring”.

scam artist 2-thumb-250xauto-6483 He bought the ring by using a fake Kentucky Driver’s License and a fraudulent bank check.

The white male deceivingly identified himself with the fake Kentucky Driver’s License as Dylan Craig.
