Alvin S. Jones, Sr., age 82 of Clarkson, Kentucky passed away Monday, June 13, 2016 at 1:45 am, in the Hosparus Inpatient Pavilion of Louisville. Born July 18, 1933 in Louisville, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Ray A. Jones Sr. and Mary Alice (Hoover) Jones.
He was a retired employee of the Pepsi Cola Company and a member of the Milltown Indiana United Methodist Church. He married December 1, 1956 to Deloris M. Jackson Jones, who passed away October 30, 1996.
He married Mabel (Campbell) Jones, who survives.
Also surviving are: 2 Sons: Alvin S. Jones Jr., Salem and Joseph S. Jones Sr., Corydon; 4 Daughters: Angela Ruddell, Jasper, Mary Anne Williams, Scottsburg, Theresa Jones, English and Rebecca Pennington, Salem; 15 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 4 brothers, 1 sister and 1 grandson.
Funeral Service: 3:00 pm Wednesday at Dawalt Funeral Home
Visitation: 11 am until the time of the service on Wednesday.
Interment at Crown Hill Cemetery.
