Woodrow John “Woody” Hattabaugh, age 98 of Vallonia, passed away Monday, August 1, 2016 at 8:00 am in his residence. Born July 27, 1918 in Vallonia, Indiana, he was the son of the late Virgil C. and Bessie Mae (Swaggert) Hattabaugh. He retired from the old Childcraft Company in Salem, was a member of Monroe Church of Christ, served in WW II as a Private in the U.S. Army and had been a life resident of Washington County. He married July 3, 1951 to Betty (Elrod) Hattabaugh, who survives. Also surviving are: 1 Nephew: Gary Bush and 2 Nieces: Bonnie Coomer and Sue Walker, all of Salem. He was preceded in death by 2 Sisters, Edith Hattabaugh and Dorothy Bush.
Funeral Service: 1:00 pm Thursday at Dawalt Funeral Home.
Visitation: 10 am until the time of the service on Thursday.
Interment at Plattsburg Cemetery with full military honors.
