James Robert Wonsch, age 78 of Pekin, passed away on September 20, 2016 at the VA Hospice Center in Lexington,
Kentucky. He was born on December 6, 1936 in Athens County, Ohio.
James was a retired Army Veteran with 23 years of service, he served in the Vietnam War. He was also retired from the USPS
in Houston, Texas. He was a member of the Greenville Christian Church, and provided Ministerial services at the Westminster
Villages in Clarksville.
He is survived by his son, John Holzapfel (and his wife Kim); granddaughters Kristi Perkins, Marina Thomas, and Hailey
Holzapfel; two great grandchildren, Kinzie and Wyatt. He is also survived by his best friend and neighbor Jim McConahay.
Preceded in death by: parents, Edward Robert Wonsch and Rosa May (Litteral) Wonsch; 2 brothers, Charles and Jess Wonsch.
The funeral service will be at 3:00 PM Sunday at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Pekin. Viewing will be Sunday from
1:00 PM until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Green Lawn Cemetery in Greenville. Hank Henize will officiate.
