The 2016 IHSAA Football Tournament Pairings Show, presented by the Indianapolis Colts, will air live on the IHSAA / Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance Champions Network Sunday, October 2, 2016, 8:00 – 10:00.
Locally and regionally, WSLM 97.9 FM and 1220 AM will be carrying the broadcast, which should begin by the end of the Cowboys and 49ers NFL game, set to air at 3:45p.
Salem is 3-3 on the season with three games left — Eastern this Friday, Corydon on Oct. 7 and West Washington on Oct. 14.
Salem last won their 3A Sectional in 1994.
In the Mid-Southern Conference, Brownstown leads the conference with a 4-0 record. Charlestown is 4-1 and North Harrison and Silver Creek are tied at 3-2 for third place. Corydon is 2-2 and in 4th place and Salem s in 5th place. Eastern is in 6th place and Clarksville is in 7th place with an 0-5 record.
Eastern is 1 and 5 on the season and hosts Salem this Friday night. The Musketeers will travel to Crawford County on Oct. 7 and closes the regular season on Oct. 14 with Charlestown.
West Washington is 6-0 on the season and looking to win the Patoka Lake Athletic Conference outright.
They are 4-0 in the conference, with Mitchell tied for 2nd with Paoli.
Perry Central is 3rd place, Springs Valley is in 4th place and Crawford County is last with a 0-4 record.
They have won their sectional in 1993, 1994, 2012 and 2015.
The Senators face Perry Central at home and will be at Art Sanders Field for the final three games of the regular season.
The Senators will play Indianapolis Washington on Oct. 7 and Salem on Oct. 14.
