Martha Jane Wingler, age 77, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, October 2, 2016.
She was born December 6, 1938 to Asa and Loretta (Uhl) Wingler in Palmyra, Indiana.
Martha Jane was a lifelong member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Bradford, Indiana, was active in the Service Ministry Group, and she enjoyed singing in the choir. She was also a 25 year plus member of the Palmyra Lions Club.
After 25 years working she retired in 1993 from the old Henry Vogt Machine Company in Louisville, Kentucky. She then spent over 22 years working at Huber’s Orchard and Winery in Starlight, Indiana which she always called her fun job, until she had to leave because of her health.
She was preceded in death by her parents Asa and Loretta (Uhl) Wingler, Brother Joseph Wingler, brother-in- laws’ John Smith and William O’Brien.
Martha Jane is survived by her sisters Linda Smith of Palmyra, Indiana, Mary Ann O’Brien of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Sister-in- law Carolyn Wingler of Palmyra, Indiana. Other survivors include nieces Debbie (David) Parson of Corydon, Indiana, Teresa (Don) Limon of Dallas, Texas. Nephew Asa (Bobbi) Wingler of Palmyra, Indiana. Great nieces Hailee Parsons, Jaden Wingler, great nephew Kyle Parsons and Brady Benskin.
Funeral Mass will be held Friday, October 7, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church Bradford, 11400 Farmers Lane NE, Greenville, IN
47124 with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 5, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 6, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. to
8:00 p.m., and Friday 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. with funeral Mass following at St.
Michael’s Catholic Church Bradford.
