This is a picture of the old mill at Organ Springs, on the western part of Washington County in Howard Township.
Jeremy Elliott, Washington County Historian, said this photo was taken shortly before the mill’s demise in the 1920’s.
“Our history claims the name Organ Springs came from the Beck’s who enjoyed the musical sounds of the water dripping inside the nearby cave,” noted Elliott.
