WSLM is holding a Turkey Toss For Hunger contest in the Walmart parking lot on Nov. 17 from 10am to Noon. The “not so foul” competition serves as a fundraiser for a local charity, the Washington County Food Bank.
Participants get to see who can hurl a frozen turkey the greatest distance. The entry fee is 10 canned goods or $10.
WSLM will be broadcasting LIVE from the new Walmart during this time during their Grand Opening festivities. Registration will taken during that time.
The competition consists of multiple divisions: Men’s, Women’s, Kid’s 12 & Under, High Heels and Military.
Contestants must donate to enter and can only win one division.
The top 3 throws in each division will receive a certificate for a free Butterball turkey and a Walmart gift card.
Those interested in participating must donate a nonperishable food item or money.
