Malcolm Hill, Illinois

G – Sr. – 6-9 – Fairview Heights, Ill. – Belleville East

  • Averaged 30.5 points and 10.0 rebounds per game in a pair of wins over Southeast Missouri and Northern Kentucky
  • Shot 55.9 percent (19-of-34) from the field, 50.0 percent (7-of-14) from three-point range and 84.2 percent (16-of-19) from the free throw line
  • Against SEMO, scored 21 points, pulled down eight rebounds, handed out four assists and tallied a steal
  • Poured in a career-high 40 points on 13-of-23 shooting (.565) and corralled 12 rebounds versus Northern Kentucky, becoming the sixth player in program history to score 40 or more points in a single-game
  • Earns his third career Big Ten Player of the Week honor

James Blackmon Jr., Indiana

G – Jr. – 6-4 – Marion, Ind. – Marion

  • Scored 26 points, pulled down six rebounds and handed out a pair of assists in the Hoosiers’ overtime win against #3/2 Kansas in the Armed Forces Classic
  • Converted 8-of-17 field goals (.471), was 4-of-8 from beyond the three-point arc (.500) and made 6-of-7 free throws (.857)
  • Scored 22 points in the second half and overtime
  • Earns his first Big Ten Player of the Week honor

Co-Freshmen of the Week

Curtis Jones Jr., Indiana

G – 6-4 – Richmond, Va. – Huntington Prep

  • Scored 15 points, including a trio of three-pointers, in the Hoosiers’ victory over Kansas in the Armed Forces Classic
  • Converted 5-of-10 field goals, including 3-of-5 three-pointers, in 16 minutes played
  • Chipped in seven points in overtime, including a three-pointer, a pair of free throws and a dunk with five seconds remaining that gave the Hoosiers a two-possession lead
  • Earns his first Freshman of the Week honor

Miles Bridges, Michigan State

G/F – 6-7 – Flint, Mich. – Huntington Prep

  • Scored 21 points, corralled seven rebounds, handed out two assists and swiped one steal in the Spartans’ two-point setback versus #12/9 Arizona in the Armed Forces Classic
  • Converted 9-of-19 field goals, and was 2-of-2 from the free throw line
  • Joined Jay Vincent (25 points; 1977) as the only other Michigan State freshman to score more than 20 points in his Spartan debut
  • Earns his first Freshman of the Week honor
