Bob Hood, age 62 of Salem, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 11:16 pm, in Baptist Health Floyd.
He was born June 9, 1954 in Spokane, Washington, had been a resident of Washington County for most of his life and was a 1972 graduate of Salem High School.
He served during the Vietnam War as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army, retired in 2016 from the Manitowoc Beverage Company in Sellersburg and was co-owner of Past N Present by Michelle in Salem.
He married December 23, 2006 to Michelle (Keith) Hood, who survives.
Also surviving are: His children: Kimberly (Mike) Harrison of Charlotte North Carolina, Bobby (Lindsey) Hood of Rineyville, Kentucky, Tyler Hood, Townville Pennsyvania, Nichole (Jeremiah) Graham of Lafayette, Indiana and Kyle Clark of Oaklawn Illinois; 1 Brother: Rick (Kim) Hood, Stafford, Virginia; 1 Sister: Suzn Webster, Salem and 6 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Doris Hood.
Memorial Service: 7:00 pm Sunday at Dawalt Funeral Home. Visitation: 2 to 7 pm Sunday.
