Lucy L. Pitts, age 90 of Indianapolis, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 10:00 am, in her residence.
Born January 21, 1926 in Salem, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin F. “Pedro” and Elizabeth P. (Patton) Hedrick.
She retired from the old Robert Bennett Law Office, had also worked for Dr. Gene and Dr. Jack Hedrick and was a member of the First Christian Church of Salem.
Lucy married January 21, 1947 to Charles E. “Bud” Pitts, Jr., who passed away December 10, 1998.
Survivors include: Daughter Diane Hall, Indianapolis; 2 Sons: David Pitts, Culpepper, Virginia and John Pitts, Indianapolis; 2 Brothers: Dr. Gene Hedrick and Dr. Jack Hedrick, Salem; 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Mary Lou Pitts and 1 sister, Joan Brown.
Funeral Service: 11:00 am Saturday at Dawalt Funeral Home
Visitation: 9 am until the time of the service on Saturday.
Interment at Crown Hill Cemetery in Salem.
