Barbara Mae Spencer, age 67, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, Indiana. She was born on January 5, 1950 in Palmyra, Indiana to Arthur and Frances (Bigler) Stroud.
Barbara married Jesse Spencer and they have celebrated 44 years of marriage.
She was a retired CNA and served many nursing facilities in both the Harrison and Floyd county areas over the years.
Barbara loved to cook, sew, and play cards.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Frances (Bigler) Stroud.
She is survived by her husband, Jesse Spencer, 3 sons; Jason (Stacy) Spencer,
William “B.J.” Spencer, and Cody Spencer, all from Palmyra, 2 daughters; Melita (Clyde) Willard and Jessica Mullins, both of Kentucky, and 5 grandchildren; Mareva Spencer, Maelyn Spencer, Brandon Spencer, Jacob Spencer, and Noah Spencer.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra, IN. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 10, 2017 from 2-8 p.m. and on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at 11 a.m. until time of service.
Interment to follow at Palmyra Cemetery.
