Billy G. Owsley, age 85 of Campbellsburg passed away Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Salem Crossing.
Billy was born March 18, 1931 in Sparksville, Carr Twp., Jackson County, Indiana to William Galen and Ethel Brown Owsley.
Preceding him in death was his wife of 67 years, Mary J. Owsley. Also preceding was a brother, Philip Owsley of Campbellsburg.
Billy is survived by a sister, Mary Francis Rutherford of Salem as well as his four children, Rhea Dawn Green of Pekin, Darrell (Tracy) Owsley of Salem, J.D. (Kay) Owsley of Campbellsburg and Lisa (Roger) Conrad of Fredericksburg, eight beloved grandchildren, Ryan (Amber Schocke) Jackson, Mandy (Josh) Jackson Cain, Morgan (Ashley) Conrad, Clayton (Ashly) Owsley, Dylan (Amber) Conrad, Shelby (Ritchie Gilliat) Green, Courtney (Luke) Seeley, and Gary R. Hook II.
Ten great-grandchildren survive, Chase and Reese Jackson, Jaylin and Jozalin Cain, Emery Haub, Kinley and Neely Conrad, Graham and Spencer Owsley and Charlotte Seeley.
Billy was owner and operator of Owsley Limestone Company of Salem until his retirement in 1984.
He continued to operate Bar-O-Ranch, a Charloais cattle operation for several more years and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00AM at Westview Christian Church. Burial will follow in Livonia Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-8PM at Weathers funeral home and Wednesday from 9-11AM at the church.
