![]() Indiana State Troopers are investigating a single vehicle crash that claimed the life of a Greenwood woman. June 24th, just after 11:00p.m., emergency crews were called to the scene of a roll-over crash on I-65 northbound near Southport Road. Callers were reporting a woman had been ejected from the vehicle and was critically injured. Upon arrival responders found 51 year old Traci McCracken unresponsive. Despite life saving efforts by the Indianapolis Fire Department and other emergency responders, McCracken was pronounced deceased at the scene. Investigators have spoken to witnesses and are trying to determine what caused the 2006 Kia to run off the road. Preliminary investigation determined the Kia left the roadway into the ditch along the right side of I-65 and rolled several times. At this point there are no other vehicles believed to be involved in this crash. The Marion County Coroner’s Office will work to determine a cause of death. As with all fatal crashes, a blood draw will be administered to determine if drugs or alcohol might have been a factor in this crash. It appears Ms. McCracken was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash causing her to be ejected from the vehicle.
