WSLM has released its fall sports schedule for local high school, college and NFL football.
“We’re excited to bring a full slate of football action to our listeners in Kentuckiana this fall,” said station owner Becky White. “We were able to secure a great schedule of additional college and NFL football games to air along with our normal games from IU, PURDUE and the Indianapolis Colts.”
White said local high school action will kick off with Coach’s Corner debuting in its 36th season on WSLM with a pre-season look at Salem, Eastern and West Washington teams on Wednesday, August 16 at 7p. .
The show will be broadcast live from McDonald’s in Salem.
“We’ll actually begin football season on August 12 with the Dallas Cowboys game at Los Angeles at 8:30p on WSLM 97.9 FM,” said White. “We’ll have the Colts first pre-season game with Detroit at Lucas Oil Stadium at 1:30p on August 13.”
The first games of local high school will be Friday, August 18 with Salem at North Harrison, Eastern hosting West Washington.
“As always, Salem Lions will be on 97.9 FM and the West Washington Senators will be on 1220 AM,” said White. “East Washington Musketeers will be online at wslmradio.com and also available through our Mixlr streaming portal.”
Indiana University and Purdue University Football return to WSLM on August 31 as the Hoosiers take on Ohio State. The Boilermakers open against Ohio State on Sept. 8.
