Saturation Patrol Nets Marijuana and Stolen Handgun, Eight People Arrested
Seven adults and one juvenile was arrested after a series of traffic stops Sunday afternoon in Knox County.
Between 3:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., Indiana State Police, Knox County Sheriff’s Office and Vincennes Police teamed up and conducted a saturation patrol targeting dangerous drivers on U.S. 41 north of Vincennes.
Officers seized approximately 150 grams of marijuana from three different vehicles, issued 42 traffic tickets, 94 warnings and arrested eight individuals for various criminal offenses.
Officers also discovered a stolen handgun during one traffic stop.
Officers arrested and transported seven individuals to the Knox County Jail and a 17-year-old male juvenile was taken to Southwest Regional Youth Village in Vincennes.
