- The City of Salem trick-or- treat hours are scheduled for Tuesday, October 31, from 6 pm. – 8 p.m. within city limit
- The City of Bedford will hold its Halloween Trick or Treat Night on Tuesday, October 31st from 6 – 9 p.m.. – ONE NIGHT ONLY!
- The City of Bloomington trick-or-treat hours are scheduled for Tuesday, October 31, from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m., rain or shine.
- The City of Mitchell trick-or-treat hours are scheduled for Tuesday, October 31, from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.
- The Town of Orleans trick-or-treat house are scheduled for one night only, Tuesday, October 31, from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Residents who wish to welcome trick-or-treaters are asked to have their outdoor porch or patio lights on during that time.
- Town of Paoli trick-or-treat house are scheduled for Tuesday, October 31st, from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.
- The City of Washington has set trick-or-treating hours for Tuesday, October 31st from 5 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.

Haunted Night at the Steven’s Museum
This Halloween event sponsored by the City of Salem Parks and Recreation and WSLM will take place on Saturday, October 28 from 5-6:30p
Scare around the Square
Downtown Merchants of Bedford is hosting the 2nd Annual Scare Around the Square. Join them downtown on Halloween afternoon to Trick or Treat with participating businesses and offices. The event is free and for all ages, 3:30 p.m.-5 p.m., Tuesday October 31st. Then, at 5 p.m., join them at Harp Commons Stage for their first-ever Costume Contest and a pumpkin contest, with a very special performance from En Pointe Dance Studio, and the winner’s ceremony. Curtains open at 5 p.m. and will conclude at 5:30 p.m.
Oolitic Festival and Haunted School
The Oolitic Festival will be held on Saturday, October 21. This years theme is “Boolitic. Festival event begin at 10 a.m., the parade will step off at 6 p.m. There will be a magic show, comedians and costume contest, vendors and other acivities.The Oolitic Haunted School is open every Saturday in October, from 7 p.m. until 11 p.m. and cost $10 a person. The festival pageant “Fall into Autumn Memories” is open to girls in kindergarten through high school. Judging of the mini through junior miss divisions will be on Oct. 20 at 6:30 p.m. at Hillcrest Christian Church. The queen contest will take place Oct. 19 at the church at 6:30 p.m. Crowning of all winners will be Oct. 21st at 10 a.m. in Oolitic. Oolitic’s Got Talent contest prelims will be held from 11 a.m. until Noon with the finals from 1:30 p.m. until 3 p.m. There will be live music at the festival from 1 p.m. until 11:35 p.m. Featured acts include: One Hot Nun, Thin Lines,Make My Millennium, Ozzie, Serene Sounds, Henry, The Buzzkill Poets, Misunderstood, Offhand, Candle Burns White, Kings Amongst Men, Von Horror, From These Ruins and T – Drank.
Mitchell Opera House Safe Halloween Event
The Mitchell Opera House will be hosting a Safe Halloween Event at the Mitchell Opera House on October 20th at 6 p.m. The Movie Scooby Doo will be shown. In the movie, the cowardly canine and his crime-fighting pals embark on another spooky adventure in this live-action update of the cartoon series. This time the gang investigates a spooky theme park that the owner claims is plagued with ghosts. There will be a costume contest held prior to showing the movie. There will be a contest for both kiddos and adults, so come dressed in your best Halloween costume! This event is free and does not require tickets. Doors will open at 5:15 p.m. Please bring a canned food item as your entry fee to be donated to a local food pantry. Event is for people of all ages, so come and join us.
Orleans Annual Halloween Spook Parade
Orleans Kiwanis Club will once again be hosting its Annual Halloween Spook Parade for area youngsters (through 6th grade) on Sat., Oct. 28th beginning at 4:30 p.m. in historic Congress Square (town park). Costume participants should meet near the bandstand. Following the Spook Parade around the town park square there will be kids activities, prize awards and treat bags distributed. Orleans Tri Kappa will also be partnering with the Kiwanis for this fun-filled event.
Organizers have also announced that they will be holding its Halloween Pumpkin Contest in conjunction with the Spook Parade event. Bring your carved, Painted or Decorated Halloween Pumpkin to enter in the contest. All ages eligible for the pumpkin decorating.
Marion Township Rural Fire Dept. Safe Halloween Trick-or-Treat
Marion Township Rural Fire Dept will be having a Halloween safe stop during trick or treat hours for Mitchell
October 31st from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. at the fire station located at 4632 State Road 37 in Mitchell .
Second Annual West Washington Athletics/Club Trunk-Or-Treat
The Second Annual West Washington Athletics/Club Trunk-Or-Treat event will be held Saturday, Oct. 28th from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. The event is hosted by the WW FFA.
Trunk-Or-Treat Dive Christian Church
Dive Christian Church, at 892 Peerless Road, will host a Trunk-or-Treat event on Oct. 29 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. The FREE family event will include treats, a bonfire, food, hayride and more.
Second Annual Halloween Parade in Salem
Mark your calendar for the second annual Halloween parade on Saturday, Oct. 28, at 6:30 p.m. The event is a fundraiser for the Christmas Assistance Program in Washington County. The parade will begin at the American Legion Bingo Hall, 105 W. Hugh Veteran Dr. and travel north on Main Street to the square and disperse on W. Walnut Street.
Entrants will be in costume and judged according to category. Everyone is encouraged to dress for the occasion, there will be an award for the best dressed in the crowd. Parade entry fee is $15 if received by Sunday, Oct. 15, and $20 for late entry. Entry forms are available at Turtlefish Clothing, 52 Public Square, Salem. Heltonville Haunted House And Trunk-or-Treat
The Heltonville Haunted House and Trunk-or Treat event will be held October 27 and 28th and Nov. 3rd and 4th at the Heltonville Youth League. The event will be open from 8:30 p.m. until Midnight. The cost to attend is $8.
Starve Hollow’s Halloween: The Haunted Hollow
Visit the Haunted Hollow for crafts, trick or treating, haunted house and more! Bring the family out for a day so fun its scary! There will also be a campsite decorating contest and a costume contest. Prizes will be awarded in various categories. All are welcome to enter. Trick or Treat throughout the campground Oct. 28th between 5-7 pm.
Haunted Trails
Crothersville Parks will host Haunted Trails at Country Side Park and a Trunk or Treat event on October 27th – 28th. Both nights events begin at 8 p.m. Located at:Country Side Park, 5725 S. Co. Rd. 1000E., Crothersville.
Covered Bridge Halloween Carnival
On October 27th there will be of trunk or treat, photo booth, bounce house, games, costume contest and dinner. Located at the Covered Bridge Health Campus, 1675 W. Tipton Street, Seymour.
Bliss Place
Trick-or-Treat at Bliss Place on Oct. 31 from 6 a.m. until 9 p.m. Bring the kids to Trick-or-Treat the halls of Bliss Place and visit with residents and enjoy Halloween treats. RSVP to Debbie by Oct. 27th at (812) 275-2468.
City of Seymour Downtown Trick-or-Treat
October 30th, visit participating businesses in downtown Seymour to receive treats. Held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m, just prior to the Halloween parade. Held in downtown Seymour at participating businesses.
City of Mitchell Downtown Trick-or-Treat
Bring your ghosts and goblins to Main Street for Downtown Trick-or-Treating! Mitchell Main Street & Beyond’s annual Trick-or-Treating event will take place on Oct. 31 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. During that time, parents can bring their children to participating downtown businesses for a Halloween treat. Look for the orange pumpkin in the window of the participating businesses
Paynetown Ghostly Gathering
Paynetown Ghostly Gathering, annual celebration of Halloween, is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 26 and Saturday, Oct. 27 at Paynetown State Recreation Area. All programs and events are open to both day visitors and campers. If you want to camp, don’t wait too long to reserve your campsite at camp.in.gov; some non-electric campsites are still available, the electric ones are already fully.
