Bessie Wood (Terrell) Evans, 88, of Orleans, passed away on February 13, 2018 at
St. Vincent Dunn Hospital in Orleans, IN.
She was born November 10, 1929 in Nelson County, KY, the daughter of Hershell
and Catherine (Thomas) Terrell.
She married Hugh Evans on April 21, 1951 and he preceded her in death on May
5, 1977.
She worked at Jim Jones Linen Service for ten years and retired in 1992.
She is survived by four children, Teresa Donetta Hagemier (Richard) of Orleans,
Anothony Lawrence Evans (Billie) of Paoli, Deborah Jane Evans of Orleans,
Gregory Wayne Evans (Kristy) of Mitchell; three surviving siblings, Lillian Mae
Brooks of Sulphur, LA, Gilbert Eugene Terrell of Ohio and Espy Lawrence Terrell of
Paoli.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, Hugh Donald Evans Jr.;
four brothers, Roy, Ray, Ralph and Paul Wayne Terrell; one sister, Wilma L.
Graves.
The funeral will be on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at 1:00 PM at the Ochs-Tetrick
Funeral Home with Reverend Michael Williams officiating. Burial will follow in
Knott Cemetery, Mitchell, IN.
Friends are invited to visitation at the funeral home on Saturday from 2:00 PM
until 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
