Yesterday afternoon, detective Matt Busick from the Indiana State Police Post at Sellersburg was called to the Austin High School after a student had made an alleged threat to harm others.
Detective Busick with complete cooperation from the school system, the Scott County Prosecutor’s Office and the Austin City Police, began his investigation based on that incident at the school.
As he was investigating that alleged threat, the female juvenile began posting other alleged threats on a popular social media page.
Detective Busick completed his investigation and presented it to the Scott County Prosecutor’s Office this morning. The Scott County Prosecutor’s Office requested a pick up order on the female juvenile.
An order was granted by the Scott County Circuit Court and the female was arrested and transported to the Clark County Juvenile Detention Center in Jeffersonville.
She was charged with Juvenile Delinquency/Intimidation, (Three Counts).
The Indiana State Police and Scott County Prosecutor’s Office want school kids and their parents to know that any and all real or perceived threats towards a school and/or school kids will be dealt with the utmost urgency and thoroughness to make an arrest and stop the threat.
It is also to be noted that no threat will be considered funny or cute and will not be tolerated.
